Kyle Thompson's art photography consists of surreal photography which comes from him having his art work planned out. He also mostly does self-portraits and his subjects ae either himself or other people. From his picture to the left we can see how he strategizes his work in having the right composition from his head being in the middle of the frame; following the rules of thirds the space around him is even. In my picture to the right it shows my subject being my dog, however the composition is just as good. Both pictures have similar details such as the leaves and the warm colors give the same feeling for both pictures.

In Benjamin Von Wong's picture to the left it shows a strategized concept in showing a person on lava and through his picture he wants to explain the concept of climate change. Von Wong claimed, "The concept was that the indigenous people have been talking about this climate change problem for the longest time and everyone’s just ignoring them." Through his pictures we can captivate the emotions of the picture and how important it is to him. In my picture to the right it shows the sunset right to the left of the person in the picture. Just like Von Wong's picture, they both have color contrast to the rest of the photo; whereas in Wong's photo it's the red from the lava, in my picture it's the yellow from the sun.
