The photo editing of both pictures are good in showing improvement on being able to edit two pictures together. The picture to the left shows the skill of double exposure, whereas my picture to the right is cut-outs of two pictures overlapping each other to make it seem as though the book was an actual prop while taking the picture in the background. The pictures are contrasting because in the picture to the left it is dark colors and my picture to the right shows vibrant colors.

Portrait photography is seen in both of the pictures and they both have the same strategies in having the subjects on the floor and taking a picture from the top down. In my picture to the left there is more space around the subject and she fits in the second column of the rule of thirds, whereas the picture to the right shows a close-up and has less space around the subject and taking the whole rule of thirds grid.
Allison's picture to the left shows a black and white picture taken at a low angle as the water splashes with the shoe. In my picture to the right also shows a puddle taken at a low angle with black and white filter. The pictures contrast each other in the sense that Allison's picture shows was taken mid motion and my picture was taken with no movement around. They are similar because both have a low angle showing water with a black and white filter.
Both pictures show city landscapes that are prominent to a state. On the left is the Golden Gate Bridge and the picture shows the red contrasting with the blue sky and green-ish water. In my picture to the right the Bean reflects the sky pictures and even the light from the sun contrasting the shadows from the building in the background.
Henrik Knudsen works with commercial and cinematic photography. His picture to the left shows of a restaurant with some vibrant lights reflecting off the seats from the neon lights in the left corner of the picture. Like Knudsen's picture which can also be documentary, my picture to the right shows an indoor market place which the reflection from the lights contrasting the wall colors. Both pictures show enhancement of the colors from within the picture.
Jenna Broas' picture shows a layout of a single theme which is her showing her tortoises and the habitat that they live in. Each picture shows a different angle of the sequence and also has variety of lighting. In my picture to the left ,it is also a series showing the events of a night and, like Jenna, I show the different angles of situations. My layout also has the variety of colors throughout the pictures.
Flor Garduño's picture to the left is in black and white which the picture as a whole shows use of maximum space. The maximum white in the picture is from the top of the picture with the sky and sunlight, however the max black comes from the silhouette a little to the left from the center of the picture which is a person on riding a horse while letting the wind expand the fabric they hold. In my picture to the right it is also black and white; the maximum white is the same as Garduño's which is on the top. The maximum black in the picture is from the left of the picture to the bottom including the small silhouette's from other people in the background.
